Text Box: Catering Policies

Deposit-A 5O% Non-Refundable deposit is required upon signing catering contract if client cancels event and/or contract is not fulfilled. Client agrees to forfeit any deposits to caterer for loss of another event that could’ve been scheduled, any staff hired, or any food, rentals & services ordered. There is a 72 hour cancellation period with signed catering contract on food, rentals, supplies and services, Food deposits are also required with parties of 10 or more. Natural disasters such as hurricane’s, tornado’s, floods, or other Acts of God, client shall receive refund of deposit or deposit will be applied to a new contract with a new date & time. (Subject to availability of caterer) If client needs to postpone the event to a future date/time the caterer shall apply any/all deposits to new event/function only No refunds will be given! No exemptions! (Date/Time subject to caterer availability) 

Payment-We gladly accept Cash, Check or Cashiers Check. Final Payment for your event must be paid 5 days prior to event date and remaining balance to be paid by Cash, Cashiers Check or Check, unless prior arrangements are made in advance and approved by the catering supervisor. No event is considered confirmed unless these requirements are met.
Food & Beverage Tax-An 18% Surcharge will be added to all Food and Beverage charges for parties of 50 or more, Personal Chef’s Services & Corporate events, in addition to 6.5% Florida Sales tax will be applied to the final bill. 

Guarantee-Final head count must be in 7 Full business days prior to event. The number on the contract will be used as the guarantee if the office doesn’t receive the information by the required time. Guarantees are not subject to reduction and are a minimum on which charges will be based. If attendance is more than original number on the contract, we will make every effort to accommodate your group. However, we cannot guarantee availability of additional items as specified in the original order and will substitute accordantly. 

Damages-Groups shall be responsible for any and all damages and/or losses to the premises. or others during the event, which are caused by the group or any of the group’s guests, or other persons attending the function Absolute Perfection Catering does not assume any responsibility for area is not liable for any damages to or losses of any merchandise, samples equipment or any goods or personal property exhibited, displayed or left at the event location prior to or following the function. Any missing or damaged merchandise/rentals not returned to Absolute Perfection Catering will be billed the replacement cost of such merchandise/rentals. 

Equipment Rentals-Absolute Perfection Catering is not responsible for any rental items not rented by our company. Any set-up/breakdown and removal of any rentals not rented by Absolute Perfection Catering is the responsibility of the client.
 
Delivery & Pickup-Delivery & Pick-up Charges on Equipment rentals may vary due to distance/travel time to event location. 
Service Staff-Full Service wait staff and Bartenders are charged a flat rate of $37.50 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. You may be billed for additional staff hours if your event runs over the agreed contract time.*Please note our catering coordinators know how much staff is needed to take care of your event. Our coordinators will only recommend the appropriate number of staff required, and it is your final decision as to how many chefs/servers/bartenders etc… you would like to hire. We will not over staff your event if it is not needed. To ensure your event is a success please take into consideration that understaffing is one of the main reasons many events go wrong  because you and your guests don’t get the proper service & attention you deserve and having enough staff will guarantee a successful event!

Event Planning/Wedding Planning-A charge of 10% of the total cost to the event will be applied when requesting complete event planning such as hiring caterer, florists, entertainment, photography, bakers, arrange travel, tux rentals, coordinate bachelor/bachelorette parties etc… Please contact the event coordinator for a complete list of all services offered or to discuss your desired needs. We can take care of every last detail! 

Custom Menus-You can customize any aspect of service to fit your needs or we can create a custom menu that will suit your tastes and budget. We have a wide variety of seasonal menus available, please ask your consultant for suggestions. Please allow caterer 72 hours to provide you with a cost for a custom menu. We can also create a menu to match the theme of your event with decorations to match. Our staff can assist you in planning your menu, selecting the appropriate setting, developing a theme and providing the right atmosphere, including decorations to accentuate your theme or add to the ambiance. In addition, if there is a special menu item you have had somewhere else we would be more than happy to try to bring it in for your event. Necessary charges will apply for this service. We can also use a special family recipe if you provide it for us well in advance of your event.

Special Diets-Special diets ranging from low sodium, low fat, vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerant, gluten free, food allergies and limited kosher can be accommodated. Please contact our office to discuss options. Indicate the need for a special plate on your contract when ordering with the exact restrictions that we need to follow. There may be an additional charge for some special diet plates.

Leftover Food Items-Food items leftover after all guests in attendance have been served and the service time agreed upon has been fulfilled will be taken away with us at clean-up. Because of health and safety regulations and our inability to control and maintain proper temperatures and storage of food items. Exceptions to this policy include: Personal Chef Services and/or private home/residence events where there is proper cooling/storage facilities. 

Legal -In the event that the caterer must seek legal remedies to complete execution of this contract, the client agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees.
